Knott's Scary Farm (September–October) is the single busiest period of the year, with the park running in sold-out "after dark" sessions that max out the Beach Boulevard corridor.
Bus and oversized vehicle parking is available in designated sections of the main lot. Groups of 15 or more save real money moving in one vehicle versus individual car passes stacking up at the gate.

The OC Fair & Event Center (88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626) hosts the annual OC Fair from mid-July through mid-August — 23 days, roughly 1.4 million attendees, and one of the largest county fairs in the United States. Fair parking on the grounds costs $12–$15 per vehicle and the surface lots surrounding the fairgrounds fill by mid-morning on weekends; off-site park-and-ride options add a shuttle connection that can add 20–30 minutes to your arrival. The Event Center also hosts large concerts throughout the year, including the annual Pacific Amphitheatre season (capacity 8,500) with major touring acts from June through September.
Bus drop-off at the main Gate 1 entrance on Fair Drive puts your group steps from the carnival midway. Costa Mesa is about 15 miles from Garden Grove via the 22 West to the 55 South.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts (600 Town Center Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626) is Orange County's premier performing arts venue, anchoring South Coast Plaza's Town Center with Segerstrom Concert Hall and Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall side by side. Broadway touring productions, the Pacific Symphony, and Broadway Across America residencies make this one of the most visited cultural venues in the region — Broadway runs routinely sell out weeks ahead, and post-show traffic on Town Center Drive is notoriously slow to clear as three garages empty simultaneously onto Bristol Street. Parking in the Center's own structures runs $15–$20 for most performances.
From Garden Grove, the drive to Costa Mesa is about 12 miles on the 22 West. A Garden Grove party bus rental dropping your group at the Center's main entrance on Town Center Drive means no garage hunting, no post-show traffic stress, and no one worrying about who's getting everyone home.
